Animated Sound: Norman McLaren, Neighbours

Listen to the soundtrack to Scottish-Canadian Norman McLaren’s Oscar-winning short film Neighbours, from 1952 — if that’s not nice, then what is? McLaren made the soundtrack (and that for other films too) by monkeying about with the physical film, drawing and scratching shapes that is then “played” on the projector.
