Notable Canadians: Hugh Le Caine

Hugh Le Caine’s best known piece of music is the anthologized, approachable and pop-song-short Dripsody, a charming slab of musique concrète made from the sound of dripping water. As a nuclear physicist / composer / inventor, plenty of Le Caine’s energy went into creating instruments like the electronic sackbut, presented here in a super-Canadian public information piece:
